The funny side of Matthew
Matthew is a very well known actor and has starred in many different shows and in many roles. One of the favorite times in his career was when he was in the "Good Morning Hangul" sketch on the extremely popular show Gag Concert. His looks and larger than life performance was loved by many and at the time was the only sketch with a westerner on the whole program.
Matthew was quoted saying "I never realized how much work goes into making a comedy sketch every week. The people at Gag Concert never stop". Though this show his name was now matched to the face many knew from his work done previously on other shows.
Life Documentary
Matthew has also had great media interest in his home life, especially in the relationship between himself and his Korean Mother-in-law. He helped to look after his wife’s mother after she was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. He helped shed light on this terrible condition.
Three different leading Korean television channels took up the story about what his family was going through. A both heartwarming and sad story that touched many and showed that sons and son-in-laws care no matter what country they are from.
